Lorena has extensive experience in governmental and diplomatic positions in Mexico and abroad. Among other appointments, she was posted at the Mexican Embassy in Japan, where she was in charge of the Consular Affairs department. As a legal expert, she participated successfully in the negotiation of bilateral and multilateral agreements.
Currently, she resides in Miami, where she has gotten involved in immigration issues, assisting the Consulates of Mexico and Guatemala in the provision of legal services to their communities. Through this work, she focuses on informing and explaining immigrants in the U.S. how to navigate the country's system and understand the fundamental values of American society.
